Peel Smart Remote is a free universal remote application developed for Android devices.

The Peel Smart Remote app is designed to revolutionize the way you manage your home media systems. You'll combine a universal remote control with live and streamed television listings, so you have a remote and a television guide all in one convenient app.

You can reliably control your DVD player, Roku, Blu-Ray, Apple TV, home appliances, audio system, and your normal TV by using the built-in universal remote capabilities. You can even control your heaters with an infrared IR blaster that's built into a tablet.

Peel gives you intelligent TV show recommendations as well as guide listings that are based around your preferences and the past shows you've watched. It's all organized and easy to navigate. The more you interact with the app and give feedback on the suggestions, the more the app is able to hone perfect suggestions for you.

It's very easy to set up and equally easy to use. You can confirm your location from more than one hundred different countries. Then choose your television provider, and simply pair the Peel Smart Remote app with your home electronics and entertainment systems. No more struggling with a million different remotes with a million functions!

READ_PHONE_STATE: Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting. If you don't request this permission, you will not receive the broadcast at that time. Though holding this permission does not have any security implications, it can have a negative impact on the user experience by increasing the amount of time it takes the system to start and allowing applications to have themselves running without the user being aware of them. As such, you must explicitly declare your use of this facility to make that visible to the user.
